Had a cold dry and very windy New Years day heading up the Angels Rest trail in the Columbia River Gorge, didn't take any video or even many photos, 80 mph gusts at the top.

Check it out.

Yep; the Gorge was really rocking yesterday!
Imagine it must have been rather intense up top  !!
Odd how little poking around I've done on the Oregon side of the Gorge...

Thanks for sharing the hike with us, some of us usually get together Sunday's in Stevenson to get out and play with knives, etc. ... I think next Sunday's theme is gonna be back-country gourmet - so bring on the grub!!

Cheers,

Both sides are great, I really like Cape Horn on the Washington side.

How many people typically show up to your Sunday things? Is it a weather permitting kind of a deal?

Nice country. Looks like a fire went through. Ever pick (food :D) mushrooms after fires out there ? Morels should pop.

Wow, sounds like a rough day.. 80MPH winds  We had 50MPH gusts, but that isn't that bad compared to 80.

Sometimes its just me, yesterday there were four of us, other times a few more.
And yep; as long as we're having weather we go...:D!!
