Hi all.
I know, i know....another "resolutions" theme. I couldn't help myself. i just came up with one for myself and am actually pretty excited about getting started.

This is my 40th New Year. And, there are plenty of things i still have never done that i have always wanted to do. well, this year, i am going to cross one off the list. and, i am going to start close to home. i am going to hike the Long Trail this year.

For those of you not familiar with the Long Trail, it runs the length of Vermont, from Quebec to Massachusetts. 272 miles. boom.

Anyone else have a resolution they want to share?

Not quite as ambitious as yours, but we want to finish hiking the I&M Canal Path this year, a section at a time. We started it two years ago, but did not have much time last year with everything going on. I also want to start fishing again.

Hi Todd -

The usual - I want to eat right and lose 40 lbs over the next year. Sustained, habit changing long term eating correction.

It will be hard, but so was quitting smoking and I never looked back on that decision.

I also want to win 01 open pairs cricket at the NDA international tournament this year, so I'll be training for that!

We'll see how it goes.

Yeah, my goal is definitely a stretch, but we'll see. good luck with the canal path. and, definitely start fishing again. i hope to be able to get a kayak this year to help that out.

i hear ya. good luck with the weight loss. i am as heavy as i've ever been right now. i'm up to about 265. so, i could lose even more than 40 lbs. my buddy convinced me to sign up for one of those spartan races in september (he's a good salesman), so i figured the hiking would also be a fun way to get in good shape for that.

congrats on quitting smoking. i quite dipping about 8-10 yrs ago. i had been dipping for about 13-14 years. i still dream about it.

and, good luck with the darts.

Happy New Year's guys. thanks for sharing.

I wouldn't call then resolutions really, but maybe semi-loose goals.

Have more fun, work less, get paid more. lose a bit of weight(what I gained over the fall/winter, darn eggnog and rich food) and start working out again(stopped in fall/winter with not enough time/lack of energy will start in february when all the resolutioners usually stop).

that's funny. and true. :D good luck!

I'm going to try and pay off debt. that is a big one for me. so less toys and more bills being paid down. lose some weight and who knows what else!
