Everyone return safe, do drink & drive. Don't think you are OK to drive if you had a few.

Friend who was a D.U.I. Specalist Attorney, use to ask all who came for his services.

Did you know, or guess you were to drunk to drive?

Most said yes, but they thought they would not get caught, or a Taxi home, and back the next day to retreve their car was very expensive.

He would tell his clients, when we are done. My Fee, the Court Fees, Fines, Added Auto Insurance Cost will cost you 10-15K.

Something to think about before you get hammer, and nail by the COPS.
 
Pennypincher, I hadn't considered that from the law defense perspective. Definitely puts things in a new light.

Regardless, there will be a designated driver tonight and I'll be riding with them.

However, I hope we all practice safe driving and/or get a taxi tonight. Have a safe and great New Years all, here's to another year of being Emerson addicts!
 
We went out to dinner at 4:00PM, yoe I had (1) Beer with dinner. Was home infront of the TV by 5:15 PM, but had to fight our way out of the resturant, because the waiting area, outside benches, and front of the place was thick with people in line for early dinner.

We go early as we have learned the real fun people who drink & party too much are those who come out under the cover of darkness.

When I was a Cardio-Pulmonary Technician in the 70's and early 80's worked 11P - 7A, New Years Eve in the ER was always interesting.
