Somebody mentioned an upcoming blade show in New York. Can somebody tell me the place/date ?

thanks

I think it is the weekend of November 8th, but I don't know the location offhand. Maybe I will see you there?
It is a great show.:)

Nov. 7-9
New York Custom KNife Show, New York, NY
Hotel Pennsylvania, 401 Seventh Ave. (at 33 St.)
212-502-8717 (reservations), 516-781-5515 or 549-5191 (show info)

I am definitely going. Northeastern knife shows are few and far between. In P.C. Westchester County, Gun and knife shows have been banned! Another good one, though not as big is the Northeast Cutlery Collectors Association show in Stamford, Ct. I am hoping to pick up a Wilson Model 2 if Ryan Wilson is there.

They keep him locked in the garage...hence the name. Don't worry garage boy .. there will be many more shows in the future that you will be able to attend. Hey if ya want .. I'll email you some digital pics from the show as I plan on taking many.

The New York Custom knife show is one of the best shows in the country. You if possible you don't want to miss it. Paul Basch...paulbasch@hotmail.com

Been going to it since around 1979, great show, though it has new owners and promoters this year for the first time. Steve D'Lack who runs the ECCKS in March bought the show last year from Joe Mangiaracina and Paul Tausig. Hope he keeps it the way it was, the NYCKS was always better than ECCKS IMO.

I agree. The New York Custom Knife show in November tends to be better in size and variety than the East Coast Custom Knife show which is also held in Manhattan but usually in March.

It seems there are more tactical makers and bigger names at the NY show than at the Stamford show. Great time to get together, bring some of our stash and compare notes in the lobbies, besides going in there and handling some nice new steel, trying it on for size.

I'll be there. No cars, no problem. I'll take the bus - 5 hour bus from Boston. Hell, I'll do anything to attend this show :D

Beluga,
If you take the train, it'll let you off right across the street at Penn Station!
To any who are interested, it wouldn't be a bad idea to get together afterward for a bite, that is if a specific day is set.

I'll see how much it's gonna cost. Gotta save some money, need some for shopping at the show :D
BTW, the bus fare starts from $15 round trip wihtin same day, and I'm planing on a one day round trip.

I'll be there on the first day (the 7th).

Yippie, looks like another train trip to NY! Had a great time earlier this year. So many beautiful blades to drool over! :)

A get-together sounds great.
