Good afternoon all,

Finally got around to posting this thread. I was at NYCKS on Friday afternoon and it was, overall, an awesome experience.

The highlights of the day were meeting Doug Ritter (and finally signing up for a Knife Rights membership) and watching the sharpening demonstration of the Wicked Edge. I felt that it'd be nice to have a larger space as it did get crowded at times. It was very cool to speak to all of the knife makers and dealers at the show. Also, and this is a unique opportunity for me, it was very cool to be able to handle some of the merchandise. Generally, coming from NY, there aren't really any knife shops around that carry CRK/Strider/etc and so its very cool to be able to handle those makers work. The CRK ti-lock was a personal highlight.

Also, I scored some cool gear. My money went toward the following:

* A knife rights membership
* An interesting Ceramic bladed ti framelock by the folks at Stone River Gear
* A warthog tusk from Corrie Schoeman

I intend to post a review of the Stone River Gear knife soon. I am trying to use it as much as possible and have some mixed feelings about it. The design is what really drew me to the knife. Its hard to tell from the pics below but the entire knife is etched to look like demascus. Its VERY sharp and the edge has held up flawless but seems to develop fixable side to side play with use.

I will likely buy the Wicked Edge soon after I move as right now I just don't have space for it.
