I will be going on Saturday. Friday I'm on duty.

Hey folks,

Steve D'Lack has given me the opportunity to work with him as Show Photographer on the Fall Show. I'll be there for three days.

With any luck, I'll be able to browse the floor. ;)

Please say hi. :)

Right smack in the middle of the NY deer hunting season. :grumpy:
Oh well, going to have to drop a day to go into the city.
I went last year for the first time and it was quite an experience.
This may be the year Terzoula get my money (and I get one of his masterpieces) :)

This is always a good time- My favorite of the 2 NYC shows. Another reason I miss living in NYC. Have fun folks!

March and November, two best times to be in the City :D, unfortunately I won't make it this year, have a few for me guys and next year I'll buy the first round.:)

I've lived in NYC for awile now, but not been able to make it to show in the city. Is it a big show?

It's not Blade. :)

It is pretty busy, but keep in mind, this is for custom knives. You will see materials for sale and dealers with a variety of knives but mostly it's custom knifemakers showing their work.

There will be a lounge off to the side where we take a break from time to time and get together with friends, many of whom are Bladeforums. Ask around. We'll be glad to meet you.

Sounds like fun, Esav. I have a leftover Delta ticket, so I may try to sneak up for the March show if I can get a deal at one of my two fave hotels. (Waldorf and the Doubletree Metropolitan) After getting hosed for $650 a night plus a $250 "smoking fine" at the Marquis on New Years Eve of '06-'07, I categorically refuse to pay Times Square prices for Times Square "ambience" Impressive participants list for both shows. The lads from Rockstead Knives are some traveling maniacs!!!! They are doing both NY shows and I thnk that they are also going to be at Gembloux.

That's part of the fun of being in the knife business. Some of the knifemakers at the NY shows never spend much time at their tables, they're too busy walking around like the rest of us, catching up with old friends. :D

I've been surprised from time to time. One year we had an invasion of Scandinavians. Beautiful work.
