New ZT 0200 - weak detent and other questions

I just received my new 0200 today. I really like it for the most part, but noticed someting a bit concerning. The detent seems pretty weak. I can get the blade open most of the way with just a slight downward flick of the wrist. The pivot seems fairly snug, and I don't really want to tighten it at this point. Lock-up seems good as well. The weight of the blade probably doesn't help matters. I think the weight combined with a little inertia causes the blade to open pretty easy. The detent is working fine, and I can feel it engage the blade just before it closes fully. I just wish it was a bit tighter. My main concern is that the blade could come open in my pocket. I was planning on carrying this tip-up, but now I'm not so sure. Has anyone else noticed this? Were you able to fix it somehow? How many are carrying tip-up, and have you experienced any problems? On a side note I also got a 0350 today, and I love it. Plus the torsion bar makes it pretty much impossible to open by accident.

rf pocket tip up would put the spine of the blade against the seam of the pocket and prevent it from opening. I can do the same with mine, it's just a 3rd way to open it.

Thanks. From what I've found (google and youtube), I guess it's pretty much normal for this model. I'll just start carrying it and see how it goes. I found this video, which pretty much shows what I'm talking about. Mine will also bounce and open partially if I try and close it too hard. Too bad the detent isn't a bit stronger, like the one on my 0550.

Yeah some kershaw models before flippers were really popular have a weak detent. I remember getting a groove and it had literally NO detent what so ever. I think the original thought was that they didnt want any resistence on the blade for fast opening. But then later a designer for them (I believe RJ martin with the zing) showed that with a proper detent and washers you didnt need a A/O mechanism to get the knife to pop properly. The 0200 IMHO would really benefit from a detent and a retrofit KVT system.

My 200 was the same way...parted with it. Although, I still go through some withdrawls now and then- it was so comfortable in hand, but the 0551 and 0560 are helping me cope.
