into a 3.6 oz. slim easy to carry package. Shame it was discontinued almost as soon as it came out. :(

thought it would be 3.6oz also ..more like 4.1oz..still better than 5.6oz zt 350

According to mike it was discontinued to make room for the production of other models.

Probably because I would call it a very un-attractive design.
GMAHN, I'm going to tell you once about trolling. Seen your other MT/ZT posts, and you obviously picked a side. Find a new subject to go play with.

You have no idea why this knife was discontinued so please don't pretend to. Heed Thomas' warning as you're close to stepping over the line with some of your recent posts.

I know right!? ( as well)
It still looks pretty cool.
It could be useful, but I would be VERY scared to use the tip a whole lot.
Not a total dealbreaker.

For me the fine tip would be a deal MAKER not breaker...I am far more often in need of a super fine "splinter picker" tip rather than a beefy prybar-like tip. If you use your knives for cutting, you will never snap the tip off of the 0780 (or really any other knife for that matter...)

Well SOB. I have been looking for one and kinda gave up because all my usual dealers are out of stock. I have just been waiting until they got a new shipment. I feel like an idiot, I want one!

I was concerned about the tip before mine arrived, but it is actually what makes the knife worth owning. It's an interesting combination, strong liner lock and rock tight construction with a blade best used for fine work and draw cuts.

I really like the look of the ZT 0780. Unfortunately :( I wasn't able to buy any before they got discontinued.
