What is the best method for sharpening a ZT301? This is my first recurve blade. What a beast

Sharpmaker sharpens all.

Sharpmaker for me but a ceramic rod also does the trick.Trick is to use consistent pressure and maintain the angle of the edge's consistency.

Sharpmaker works, but only use the corners. And since I've gotten used to it I do it freehand.
I also use diamond and ceramic rods.
If you don't feel comfortable freehand sharpening, get the Sharpmaker.
