Hi

Have been reading here for years, but just now registered and purchased a membership. Will probably continue to lurk lots and type little because I am single and posting about knives does not seem like the best way to spend my time right now!

So putting a first post out there just because.

One question though, when I signed up for gold membership I did the $25. I saw the ESEE arrowhead promotion and thought "sure, I could go for that!"

The only problem was the gold membership with the arrowhead was $30 plus $8 shipping. Shipping is understandable, but why the $30??? Didn't seem like much of a promotion. Did I miss something?:confused:

Welcome! Thanks for supporting the forum, either way. Good luck with the whole single thing. Make sure when you decide to change that status, you find someone who can appreciate the sharper things in life!

I'm not sure about the promotion thing but you would probably be better off looking or asking in the 'service and support' subforum to find the answer.

The arrow head might be neat but not sure anyone will actually use them. The biggest advantage to the Gold membership besides keeping this website going, is that you can now sell in the exchange forum.

Have fun and post as much as you want. We won't tell the girls about your obsession with sharp pointy things. :D:foot:
 
I'm a girl and the secrets out about this sharp shiny obsession. Now I must go my sharp shiny obsession is taking me back over again. Back to the knife cave. :D
 
A Gold through the automated system (credit card) is $25. To get the arrowhead you need to use PayPal and PayPal Gold memberships are $30 because they have to be activated manually.

Oh, sorry about the wrong forum. It really didn't matter because I did the math and got the normal membership anyway. Just curious.

Figured I ought to get the first post over with and say hi.
