Hey all, newb here. I have been a lurker off and on for 8 years, never really got around to intro. I just ordered my first Busse (TGLB) and have been seeing a few things I have questions about so since I might be asking stuff, might as well introduce myself. I am 27,white, male, mechanic, live in Louisiana. I have always been a knife guy since I was little, I had a knife in my hand since I was 7. (crappy China knife offcourse) and have had a decent amount of experience with different brands over the years. (performance/customer service, etc..) always wanted a Busse, not gonna lie, mostly due to customer service and performance of the blades. I'm not really a fan of many designs, besides a few that have stuck with me, (TG,TGLB, Steel heart? and that beautiful Gladius, wish I could win the Powerball I'd buy me one, or more). Recently I have really gotten into daggers, wish I could have me a dagger version of the TG, without the custom price...

Over the years I have found out that most of the time nothing beats a good quality axe for chopping (IMO) as far as usability/performace, and no big chopper can do little tasks as well as a little knife. So now I just try to have both if I am planning to go do some chopping in the woods. Just IMO from experience. I have always loved big chopper knives, but just cant seem to want to use them for long, (fatigue). BTW I am also heavily into guns, its just that they dont excite me like knives do.

Anyway I also curse a lot and am very blunt, just so you know, Oh and I drink beer too.:D, but just so you know I dont sugar coat nothing... hopefully I don't piss no one off..;)
Also just got an email from Busse seems my TGLB is on its way, cant wait ... to test her out.. probably will put up a video on YT, since I cant find any on YT, actually beating them..

Denis.

Sweet. I like guns too, but knives just strike a chord with me, I think it's my Scottish heritage. Lately I've been heavily in to big choppers, sounds like we'll get along just fine :)

Hell yeah, if I knew how/had the gumption/had the camera I'd start making some YT videos too. I'll mess up some oak with my choppers and I like seeing myself on TV :D

The Busse people are great, I like to call whenever I have a legitimate reason to, just to hear the ladies' lovely voices :love_heart:

Oh yeah, they have great customer service too :)

INFI makes the best chopper, IMO, because it doesn't chip. I've put a few serious wounds on my KZII and CGFBM from hitting rocks, wire fence and nails, but they were all easily fixed. I think the first time I put dings in my KZII I sent it in because I also wanted a re-coat, but after that, a few minutes and my favorite sharpener and I'm back chopping.

Welcome to the fray!

Hey CPX welcome!!! Hide your credit cards now!!!!

Seriously, we're a friendly bunch here and we love our Busse blades, so you'll fit right in.

Please keep in mind that this is a family friendly forum, so good clean fun is mandatory :)

Be sure to post pics of your knife when you get it!

Welcome to the addiction! Consider yourself lucky you don't like a lot of the designs, it will make it easier on your wallet lol. Unfortunately I like most of their $$$tuff:D

Dude, I like knives and guns but due to my residency in the $#%hole of America cannot have guns so I compensate with knives :)
I share your stance on axes but I still like big choppers

Welcome CPT!:)

Now I like an axe, but dont be surprised if the INFI addiction overwhelms and convinces you at some point in the near future that a big blade can be easier to pack and be more vesatile than a single axe:thumbup:

Might take the axe to your CC now as previously stated. It could be safer:D

Gransfors Bruks, hmmm... PM sent with a couple Qs ridnovir

My grandfather's family on my mom's side were French Canadian and when they came down on the Mississippi they landed in/around Baton Rouge. I've only ever been to Louisiana in passing to see my relatives between TX and FL before we moved out here and that was when I was a little boy so I don't remember much of the state itself, but the food is amazing, probably some of the best and most colorful in the world.

We went to a restaurant there and they had frog legs, blew me away, I thought it was the coolest thing in the world. My grandfather loved boudin, it was way too spicy for me as a child, but I love it now, mmm...

The water, I remember I liked the water there a lot...

Actually I was told its ready for shipment but still haven't gotten word that it shipped? I assumed that meant the same, but I aint got no tracking number or anything..

I wouldnt let that throw you. I have only received a few over the years and Ive gotten a ton of boxes. Just sending tracking notices out would be a full time job for someone:D
