I posted this in the GD with an intro and I am still looking. Is there information to help me discern differences in LB7 models? I have owned several and notice diferences in the number/placement of rivets and just last night, while buffing up a newly aquired example, I noticed they have serial numbers. The newly aquired one is AV20160 and my old one that I got new in the 70s is 544245. What, if anything, do these numbers tell me?
FWIW, Schrade had one I sent in for warranty when they closed operations, I never got it back or a new one. I did get one letter that they were reviewing the replacement then a few months later I heard they closed. I have to wonder who got the mountains of used knives (including mine) in their possession.
Well, anyway, any help to satisfy my curiosity is greatly appreciated.
