there is a considerable price difference as well.

also im thinking about getting a benchmade afo for a pocket knife. and in site on that would be great as well.

Welcome aboard. I'm not a RAT expert but I know that if I were to buy one for a lifetime of serious use I'd get the real RAT. Period.

There are a slew of RAT experts around here who will chime in so don't worry about getting some real advice.

I have a few Benchmades but not the AFO.

I guess I'm just here to welcome you so again, welcome.

Welcome to BFC!

Like Reeek I’m not an expert on RAT. I do have an RC-3 that I’ve used a lot. Its one of the best designed smallish fixed blades. Its rare to hear anything bad about them and I don’t think you’d be disappointed with the RC-4.

As far as benchmade goes…well they make great knives. Once you buy one your gonna be hooked.

welcome aboard,,

buy the rc-5 from rat cutlery co.,,they are no longer doing bussiness with ontario co,,

ontario made em first for the rat co.

now the rat co ,makes them exclusively themselves,,

I'd probably go for the Ontario r.a.t. knife since it doesn't have a skull. The whole death-fetish marketing angle is extremely tired, be it knives or motorcycles or whatever.
