You dont need much more than a good belt grinder, drill press and a foredom but after a while you buy or make tools that make life easier.

That is a great looking shop you have there Bruce. And I really liked your guard dogs. The wife and I are actually in the market for a pair similar to yours.

I couldnt make it through the day without those two. They are a "must have" in my shop.

im a newby also. I use a 4x36 belt sander for bevels. buy lots of steel for practice. also use new belts. old belts take way more time and are frustrating.
