I recently discovered the Sebenza from reading this forum. For years I have been a avid Benchmade fan.

I work in an office all day (Aerospace Engineer) but have carried a knife at all times since I was 10. My current EDC at work is 770SBC1, when not at work I carry a Benchmade 942SBT.

I am currently looking at the classic Sebenza with black micarta inlay. Since I've never held a Sebenza I really want to 'feel' the difference between the small and large classic before I commit to buy.

Does anyone know of a Chris Reeve dealer in Los Angeles?
Any recommendations given my EDC habits?

if you dont mind a little drive, plaza cutlery in the south coast plaza in costa mesa. plazacutlery.com

I just called Martin B Retting Inc in Culver City and they have some in stock.

I live within a 5 - 10 minute drive of them.

Thanks MORIMOTOM for the suggestion!

no problem, but good luck getting out of there with just the sebbie, they have a ton of cool stuff.

Welcome to the forums. :)

My :S*E*B*E*N*Z*A:s are all plain titanium handles but I found the Micarta inlays are really nice and provide a superior grip. Good choice. You may like the small Sebenza to start with ... it rarely ends there :D

I love my small Sebbie. But then I have never held a large one!

Silky smooth action and so darn usable! The small one does not frighten the sheeple I have around here either. Maybe its the Burl maple wood on the slabs.

My blade is scratched up but I could always send it in to get cleaned up. Good luck in only wanting one!

Get a large Sebbie for starters. It is large enough for most mundane tasks and is a comfortable size clipped in your back pocket (or front if that is your preference). I like to have my knives in a belt sheath and the CRK sheath is very well made (choice of color is black or tan).

Later on you can get a small wood inlay or a large graphic or a CRK fixed blade or, or, or...!!!!!
