Hi Everyone,

It has been great learning about the CRK knives through all of the knowledgeable posts here! I was lucky enough to acquire a small Sebenza last week from a member of the forum off of the exchange. The snakewood caught my eye, because my favorite acoustic guitar (my other money pit of a hobby :)) that I have, has a snakewood tuners on it. Here is a shot of the knife with the guitar headstock.

Once again, thanks for all of the great info! (Sorry for the poor cell phone shot)

Welcome to BF and CRK, excellent choice of woods you picked, enjoy the Sebenza!!!!!

Welcome. Nice one to start off with. Like the matching lanyard.

Thanks everyone, I am enjoying the knife and the forum! I must say quality craftsmanship is addicting, I have another one on the way already:thumbup:

Have a great week!

First off, welcome! Nice combination of CRK and Martin! (More of a Taylor guy myself) Just curious, were those tuner buttons stock? I didn't think that CFM made those. Can you share where you got them? And by the way, be prepared for the knife budget to give the guitar budget a run for it's money ;)

Hi Stevekolt,

Yes the tuner buttons were stock on this model (CS21-11, basically a custom shop version of a D-21). It was the 1st year of the Martin Custom Shop editions. Based on a 1939 rear shifted bracing pattern (Closest thing to Authentic Bracing they offered on a Rosewood guitar at the time), They used the lightest 10% of the Madagascar rosewood sets that they had at the time and used Spanish cedar with a non-adjustable T-bar neck and Waverly Tuners with Snakewood buttons, with Adi top. It is a Dreadnought and weighs about 4 pounds, sounds amazing, I was lucky to get one, made 175 of them. I think you can by the Waverly tuners from Stu-Mac with the Snakewood buttons, but you may have to call them.

I have already discovered the knife budget is no easier, 2 Sebenzas within a week and eyeing more, very dangerous

Thanks, bizabbs (Curt)
