Looking for another hard use knife for my BOB. I have some friends who recommend Busse. I was wondering what model is the most economical. I am not rich and have to stay on a budget. Thanks.

Check out the exchange here. There is a number of Busses that can be acquired in the low 200s. Also, check out the Scrap Yard and Swamp Rat lines that are affiliated with the Busse brand.

Cheap Busse?

I think you better check out Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard knives.

What is the budget?

cheapest is going to be one of the more recent game wardens.

tight budget? like the others mentioned, check the exchange for swamprat or scrapyard. you will get a much larger knife for less money.

BOB? I'd say BATAC.

don't put in your BOB though, put your current user in the BOB and use the BATAC

Oddly enough, there are still two models of Swamp Rat Chopweilers (the "Ratweiler Chopper") available here: http://shop.ratknives.com/main.sc

I'd snag one and not look back. You won't be able to get them much longer, and they'll be selling in the $300 range on the secondary market before you know it.

I think that's the best deal going for a Busse-affiliated knife. Swamp Rat and Scrap Yard are part of the Busse group.

What he said. A great value in a multi-purpose knife. The Swamp Rats have 95% of the performance of a Busse at 50% of the price.

Shhhh dont tell anyone that, first Noss's testing of infi and these good rat endorsments next thing you know there wont be anything left;)

Hey dberry just buy one. i am 14, and spent my chrismas and my B-day on 3 busses and sheaths. i will never buy another fixed blade again from any other company(i might want to check out chris reeves though...) you cant get better then busse.

i would recomend you trying to find a user BATAC for your BOB, but i wouldnt actully put it in there. i would use it on a daly bases, and when you bug out just grab your bag and remember where you put it :D

why a user... because just because its a user means its beat up most of the users are just used to see hoe well they chop or other things.

I agree with the Chopweiler. It is an excellent all around blade and worth much more than it's priced. I don't think you'd ever be able to tell the difference between INFI and SR-101 under normal conditions. Buy one and don't look back.

And I've been around here for a while and I've seen the term BOB used a few times. What is a BOB? I hope I haven't

It's a "Bug Out Bag," buddy. For when the SHTF, I'm told. :)

Aren't there places where the laws of physics no longer apply? Places where INFI dust resides? :D
