Newbie BK7 question

New to the forum. I've used it to help me select a few knives thus far. One of those new purchases is a BK7. My question is this: Could I sharpen the top of the swedge on the BK7? It's legal in my state. I just don't know if it will be practical to do so. Didn't know if anybody else might have tried this.

not only is it practical, but it's been done by quite a few people here. Head over to the Becker sub-forum, and you'll get more replies

kinda kills it for batoning but that's your call

THanks for the reply. I've posted the question in the Becker subforum. I'm not anticipating doing and batoning with this knife unless it's a true emergency. Looking to it as more of a combat knife.

It's an excellent combat knife that doubles exceedingly well as a general woods knife. I had one as my primary go to camping knife until i got my Busse TGLB.
