Newbie Buck Question

I am a Newbie to site and also to Buck Knifes . I have a Buck Odyssey 1 . On Blade i can make out #181 and what i believe to be #4 . Has reddish color handle . Was give to me as a gift and was wondering alittle about this model . Can send a picture if helpful .

My guess is, it is made only for Walmart. It has a red handle with groves in it, maybe? The handle is made out of paperstone, a recylable material.

The Odyssey was made years ago and production was stopped until Walmart got it. I bought some Odyssey's for my brother-law's and they both broke the tip off of the knife. One brother in-law was trying to pry open a door. My 181 from years ago is still in one piece, of course I haven't opened any doors with it. I think it is a great knife, maybe too aggressive looking for the Buck line up, that is my guess for dropping it years ago.
 
Funny you should say that your brothers-in-law broke the tips off of their Oddyssy blades. I have an old Oddyssy i bought years ago and i too broke the tip off my blade trying to pry a window screen off. I just bought the paper stone Oddyssy at Wal Mart two days ago. Need to send my old Oddyssy back to Buck for a new blade.
