Hello everyone!
I signed in BF recently and just want to say "Hi!" and show my current set of pieces:

Left to right:
Opinel folder, Benchmade-HK Blitz Assist 14460, Benchmade 10750 Vex, a carbon-steel fixed blade my friend knifemaking beginner gave me last week, and one a bit older SOG NW Ranger.

Although I live in a city now, it didn't used to be so in the past, and I enjoy trekking - in the woods and in the urban jungle alike, and always carring a knife. I plan to get some Scrap Yard piece of steel yet, and then we'll see ... :)

Welcome! First post with pics is the best way to start, very nice collection. I really like the blade your bud made you, it looks kinda like a BM activator.

Ahoj Mc Graber, welcome.

I was at Roznov some time ago, I was glad that your country is highly knife-friendly and that most of people like biking and trekking, which are good reasons to carry some nice tools like yours.

Best regards.

Jaime Orozco.

Thank you all for the nice welcome!

I knew the handmade knife would interest you the most :) The only tools my friend used to make it were a hand drill machine with grinding disc and a set of sanding papers (and the stamp for the "T" mark on the ricasso :) ), he also oil-quenched it by himself. The blade is 5,1 mm (0.2") thick, convex ground, so despite its smaller dimensions the knife is quite heavy and good for chopping. Actually, the friend asked me to use the knife hard and extensively to test its toughness and durability - and it does quite well so far, holds its razor-sharp edge despite my hard-wood chopping and prying attempts...

Jaime Orozco,
I'm glad to see a foreigner liked his visit to Czech, I've been to Roznov a long time ago and remember I liked it, too. Czech Rep. is one of the few European countries with no knife regulation, indeed. Hopefully it never changes.
