Newbie from Northampton

Hi you guys

I've been lurking for a while but thought it was time I dived in.

My name is John and I live in a beautiful little village in Northamptonshire in the UK. I am a trained blacksmith and I run the forge in the village I live in. I mainly make garden gates and railings and all that kind of stuff but I make a few knives.

I'm married and got two young kids.

Welcome to Bladeforums. I read the Wiki on Northampton and it looks very scenic with a lot of history there.

One of my English ancestors was High Sherriff of Northhamptonshire sometime in the 1600s, so I've been told.
 
Thanks for the nice welcome. I don't make too many knives. Just a few for professional hunters and game keepers and a few fancy Bowies for fun. I'm just making a couple. I'll take some pictures and see what you think.
