Hi guys. First post here. I would like to start my own knife collection. And what better way than with a CRK :D I am presently torn between getting a Mnandi or a small Sebenza. I will use this as my EDC knife. I want something that is unobtrusive and comfortable. Thanks guys

It depends on what your EDC chores are. Could you give some ideas as to what you normally cut?

Just regular stuffs like tapes, cardboard boxes, styrofoams, plastic etc. And btw both the Sebbie and the Mnandi arent gravity knives, are they? Thanks:)

Either the Sebenza or the Mnandi can handle all of those chores and more, so I guess it depends on your personal preference. Keep in mind the different blade lengths, handles, etc.

After owning a fewSmall Sebs and a Mnandi. I'd go for the Seb. I'd also recomend the large Seb, Which is what I always go back to. It's just big enough to know if it falls out of your pocket! The small is easier to lose, If you use the pocket clip method of carry. I would recomend the leather slip or a belt pouch for the small Seb.. The Mnandi is nice, But I tend to hurt myself with small knives! There isn't enough to hold onto:) And no, They aren't Gravity knives, But they are smooth as silk, and the Seb is easy to use one handed with gloves on.

Thanks for all the advice guys. Unfortunately, I have already placed an order for a Mnandi. Dunno. I just cant get over the looks of this knife. I love its classic, wood inlaid design. Anyway, being my first decent knife, I plan to get a small one and work my way up. Next on my list is of course a large Seb. That way, ill have one small and one larger EDC knife. My ultimate goal would be to get one of those William Henry knives though. Although I dont plan to use it (what with the price :p ) Itll be my shelf queen :D

Just received my Manandi with desert ironwood inlay. Its sooo beautiful. Now I know what it feels like to have a quality blade. I cant put it down  Anyway am now in the market for a Sebbie. Hopefully a classic. Oh and I also have a Mayo TNT with Talonite blade on its way :D

I think after numerous visit to the knife store, I decided on a small Sebenza over a Mnandi. It cuts better and it feels like a work knife (as in a good pair of jeans). After a while, the Mnandi seems to have shrunken in my hands.

But Mnandi was easier to open and very nice & solid. Between CRK Mnandi and my WHKs, I like the solid feel of CRK better.

I have yet to get a Mnandi but right now, I like the small or large Sebenza better because CRK only refurbishes the Sebenza. I am not seeing them offer to refurbish on the mnandi.

Also removing the clip helps me close and open the Small Sebenza much much better.
