I'm new to knife collecting, yet to make my first purchase. I would like some suggestions of knife makers to consider. I prefer hunters and fighters of Damascus steel. I would like to find a maker(s) who is just starting to make a name for their self, producing knives that have the potential to be collectables in the future. I don't know if this is possible within my starting price range of $300.0-400.00, which is what I was going to spend on a Uberti 1851 Cap & Ball Navy Colt, which has been shelved in favor of a knife.
