Hi there. Just got my account straightened away. A few weeks ago a guy came to where I work to do some repair on machines I work with. Somehow we got talking about Surefires' and flashlights and we got onto knives. He then proceeded to pull out this awesome Benchmade 610. Very nice. I think he hangs out here as well. All I have is the lowly Benchmade Pika and BenchmiteII. Now I'm looking at the Skirmish and if I can't afford that one maybe a Griptillian.

So where would be a good/the best place to buy high end knives?

Some are 1sks.com, knifecenter.com, newgraham.com, gpknives.com

There's a lot of info on this site in The Good The Bad & The Ugly about places to buy Benchmade or any brand for that matter.

For internet, I love NGK.

For brick and mortar, I love The Knife Shoppe in the Parks Mall, Arlington Texas. Excellent store. House of blades is good too. If you'll post your closest large city, I'll bet we can find a brick and mortar for you to play with the knives with at least.

I bought my Skirmish from Knifecenter, and I've had great dealings with 1SKS.

i'm surprised no one ever mentions this shop but...for ease of use...prompt delivery, great service i would go with bladehq.com

Sorry to jump in but I would be interested in any good brick & mortar stores in the Philadelphia area that anyone knows about. King of Prussia actually would be closer if there are any there. Thanks.

How about Ebay?
You can get some super deals on ebay, but knives are as is no refunds. Benchmade in my experience, has backed up their product. Tacgeek, welcome to becoming a Benchmade addict! A Griptillian is a good way to start. I love the 940, 943, and the McHenry-Williams 710. There is a fairly new model called the Sequel which is a blend of several nice features.

I'll recommend a semi-custom Doug Ritter RSK Mk1 (lovingly known as the "Rittergrip")- either the fullsize or mini, which is a Benchmade Griptilian customized by Doug Ritter. You can read about them at http://www.equipped.org/dr_gear.htm#knives .

I EDC the black-handled mini Mk1 with the uncoated plain edge blade, camp with the fullsize Mk1, and just purchased the wonderful fixed blade Mk3.

Fantastic knives!!

I always check knifeworks.com before I buy online. I bought my Benchmade 710 and some other knives from Roger and things have always worked out great:) .Patrick

Spinnerblade,
Nice to make your acquaintance. I wanted to mention www.knifeworks.com but I was afraid it would sound like advertising. I have been using them for years and they have been good to me. They usually have the best prices anyway, but I have a good track record with them. Their site states they will match prices on Benchmades. They ship fast.

Hey there! it was good to meet you! The 610 is an amazing knife as is
the Skirmish, but the Ritter also has a Great blade shape.
