my first post here, just came across the forum after searching for extrema ratio knife reviews (not all that they are cracked up to be,shame cos i was interested in them as well :grumpy: )

i just bought a gerber diesel tool, also the kiowa looks , any thoughts on that??

be interested in knowing your suggestion for a folder (lock back or not), it has to be small but not too small. 5" closed is perfect, budget is £200/$370. and i am in the UK, so any suggestions would be nice

NB: the knife is to stay at home, and carried in the boot/trunk when on long journeys.

Carrying it in the boot won't stop the soon to come vehicle searches (just kidding, I very much hope).

For closed length of approximately 5 inches, you got the Benchmade RUKUS (I like it, cuts suprisingly well) and any of the full-size 800 series (800, 805, 806 - if you can get them for less than $115 NIB only).

The Spyderco Military is also nice (but I use it for medium duty carry).

Apologize for the BM heavy recomendations - just my area of interest of late.
