For a while I avoided Beckers, I viewed them like i do hard drugs; they look like a ton of fun but I've seen what they're capable of, quick addiction and financial ruin.
Anyway, curiosity got the better of me and I picked up a 9 and 11. I have to say, i get it. Becker knives are elegantly simple, their beauty only surpassed by their functionality. For a knife to get me truly excited it first has to truly be a KNIFE. These are tools, they are to be used and yes sometimes even abused. Ethan Becker has perfected this delicate balance. If knife making is a recipe then he's perfected it, and the BK line is truly "The Joy of Knife Crafting."
Well, I'm done ranting, I've added a few pics of what I have so far, and i stress so far...there will be more
p.s. did i really throw in a 'Joy of Cooking' reference? yup....
BK9
-stripped, subtle forced patina, tried to "ghost" in a Bk&T logo, slightly contoured micarta handles, slightly modded jimping, stainless hardware
BK11
-stripped, micarta, stainless hardware, stonewashed, a natural patina is building (i use it to cut a lot of fruit), added Nite Ize clip to sheath
