I have always been a casual knife collector collecting more or less out of necessity. Currently my collection consists of:
Gerber lmf2 infantry
Nice Case hunting knife my father got me
Case 337-6"Q
Wengen jr. othello sawback stag hunting knife

and last but hopefully not least the whole reason why i started this post is the new knife i just ordered. Seems inherting the few old ones i have has a lit a small fire in me , about half the size of my firearm bon fire. I ordered an ESEE Izula, the orange one, and i had it engraved with "Sic Semper Tyrannis". I hope to use this as an EDC knife to compliment my EDC handgun. What is the best way for me to carry this knife? Around the neck, or clipped on? Also any tips on wrapping the handle? Thanks in advance.

Good choice sir. I carry my brothers on occasion, and when I do I paracord lash it horizontal to the small of my back. Fits nicely and is unobtrusive. His has some nice hand filing scales for but I can't remember where he got them. I'll post later if it comes to me. Enjoy your ESEE, my 4 always goes out in the woods with me. Sadly I don't go enough to give it the use it deserves.

I put a large teklok on it and carry mine scout style, horizontal behind my right hip.

Great little knife.
The sheath comes with a removable belt clip, has slots to lash to a pack, and a hole for a lanyard.
As far as paracord, instructions are included on how to wrap it and YT has some good vids as well.

It means "death to all tyrants".....

Although literally, it is "thus always to tyrants", which makes more since if you see it on the Virginia flag

OP, I'd like to see some pics of your engraving!

Will post pics as soon as it comes. I ordered it from knife works. Not sure on how long the engraving takes or general turn around. im expecting a steady stream of packages this upcoming week and hope to see it towards the end.

It was about two weeks for me. I still have a pretty good close-up of the one I got for my girlfriend if you wanna see it, but I'd kinda have to dig for it. :P

Sounds like a grand EDC choice. The ESEEs have really good 1095, it's impressive, for being so simple. The Izula is the right size, for discreet pocket carry, I've come to prefer this lackluster method for carrying my small fixed blades. SharpShooter, manufactures a good pocket sheath. Also I'm not going to lie, I didn't know what "Sic Semper Tyrannis" meant until I watched that show on Lincoln on the NatGeo channel. Very subtle way to send a message IMHO, only a few will grasp what it means. Very cool.

I too recently got an Izula. I use the clip plate that they throw in the kit. I reversed the clip so I could carry it IWB. It's a very cool and handy little knife.

As an aside, I noticed mine kind of smells weird. Sort of like a garage or machine shop. It's probably some oil they put on it prior to bagging it up and shipping it. It isn't obnoxious, but just something I noticed. I really like mine, and bet you'll like yours.
