I tried to use the search function but just kept getting a blank screen. So as a newbie to this forum please go easy on my poor computer skills.

I got this at a garage sale and was wondering about it's value.

It seems to be in pretty good shape and both blade and safetys are working well. At the base of the larger blade it says schrade and under that walden ny,but what is left of what I am assuming is the model number is to worn to read.

Any info you guys could shed would be very helpful.

Thanks in advance for any help with this and apologies in advance if this is the wrong forum for this one

Nice find. Don't know much about these other than they are very collectible.

You hardly ever see a working "button" knife go for less than $100 on Ebay, and usually they go higher. Some of the larger bone handled ones go up into several hundred, $700 to 900 for the top ones!

I'm not sure if the handles are natural or not they have little "wavy" lines runing the lenth of them. This one is just under four inches long when closed,so I'm not sure if this would be considered the larger size or not.

I don't suppose anyone might know a model number? Thanks for your input guys.

That looks like a nice one, you don't see many of them with bolsters like that. Good find!!

Drew401,
That's a real beauty! Looks like the blades are almost full. You don't find too many in that condition, worth at LEAST a couple hundred or more IMHO. How do you guys find all these fantastic knives at garage sales and flea markets?? All I ever find are beat up old mini Imperial tourist knives. Yours looks to be a 3 3/4" "Safety Pushbutton Knife". I'm not too up on the Walden model numbers, but judging by the Cut. Co. model number of 7504WB for Ivory Celluloid, yours should either be #7504 or #750 depending on how many numbers they carried over. Very nice!

Eric

Thank you all very much for your time and efforts. I guess it was worth the 40 bucks I dropped for it. I don't know a whole lot about blades(more of a gun guy)but I was guessing it was worth more than forty bucks lol.

And to Eric, your right, most of the time all I see is beat up old "junk" in the your choice for two bucks box. I guess every once in a while the guy upstairs sends you one....

I think I'm going to try to get some decent pics of it and list on the almighty ebay. If it wouldn't be any huge issue against the forum rules, I'll post the link here in case any one might be interestead.
Thanks again for all your great insight and help

hi Drew, i do believe it is against the rules to post a link to an active auction if you have a financial interest in that auction. that said, everybody here actually wants to know and now will go looking for it. fait acompli . roland
