Hi folks,
I'm new to knives, and recently purchased a Hinderer that is a little bit sticky when I open it. After taking it apart to clean it I noticed the bearings and cage ae magnetized. I'm thinking the magnetization is the culprit in the action, and wondered how I should proceed?
Thanks!
Tom

Can't say I have heard of the bearings being magnetized, but it is not uncommon for a blade to be. I am sure Hinderer could de-magnetize it, and/or tell you if it is a problem. Jewelers have equipment to de-magnetize I believe and you can buy something on Ebay for it.
I would start by contacting Hinderer and see what they have to say and offer
