I am a new to knife making newbie with machining experience and a little heat treating experience. I have a 10 inch x 1.5inch .160" thick blank that was supposed to be annealed but is hard as glass. I have a Evenheat Oven with Rampmaster 3 controller. I would like to program it to do an anneal on this piece but I am overwhelmed with advice from sources unknown to me. I was wondering can someone with experience tell me what temp to take piece to, how long to hold that temp and then how slow to ramp the temp down.
Any help would be appreciated. Thank you in advance for your help
