Newbie question-who 4 a custom chopper?

I'm looking for a custom maker for a design. It will be a recurve blade about 10" long-15"oal with a full thickness(.250) spine. I am between s3v and s-7 for steel. Any suggestions for who would be a good chioce for this project?
BTW-great site so much knife info is overwhelming!

Hi Mike,

Your best bet might be to figure out how much you want to spend, a blade that size won't be inexpensive, and then try to find a smith that works in the style you're looking for. You can probably let him decide what steel he wants to use, as long as you let him know what the intended usage will be, and not worry about having any problems. Good luck!
