I don't know if this is the right place to ask, but I just bought an Outdoor Edge Magna, and a small section of the edge was a little ragged, so my brother-in-law took the knife and ran the edge a few times over a kitchen crock stick. The knife is now sharp, but has several scratches along the edge. I was wondering if there is a way to remove the scratches without ruining the sharp edge?

You can resharpen the thing and use finer and finer stones and then the leather strop until the mirror like shine is back on the edge, but this takes a lot of practice. The crocksticks are probably around 320 or 400 grit (just my guess), and so the marks that it leaves look like scratches when compared to the usually buffed shiny finish that factory edges come with.
