Picked this up the other day at a flea market. Was a little rusty and abused looking but i brought it home anyway.
After 2.5 days in a pan of vinegar it looks much better.
What to do with it next is what my question is. What would any of you do with it ? short of boxing it up and sending it to you lol.
I would like it to be useable .
Sorry, its been many years since ive been on a pc. Hope i did the pics correctly.
Thanks,
Gary

That looks a little far gone to me. If you want to use it, true up/reprofile the edges on a grinder while keeping the bit cool and finish with a good filing and or stoning till you get a sharp edge.

With a name like woodslasher I’d have to clean it up fine edge on one side stout but sharp on the other. I’d probably blue or blacken the head except for the refinished bevels and edges. I’d hang it on a short handle 15”-18” but that’s just me.

thats a pretty old woodsl asher, probably 30's-40's range if i were to guess

if you're dead set on using it, you could give it a proper grind like the others are saying, but its not much more than a paper weight at this point, someone's loved the hell out of it
