Hi Guys. Tried to do a search on a few questions before I posted this but I came up empty handed. So here goes...

Why is the lock bar different on this model? I'm specifically asking about the small ridges right below the clip towards the end of the lock bar. Note: This is not my knife. I found this image using google images.

Also, are the clips interchangeable between the large and small 21? How about the clip inserts? One last question...is there a reason that the area available for the recessed clip is larger than the actual clip area and kinda tapers out to into a circle?

Because it is an insert model. All models with inserts have the extra ridges to aid the clip and knife from falling out of the pocket.

Yes
