Hi all,
Long time lurker (straight from Mr. Becker himself no less - more on that in a bit), and it's time to put that to rest and become real. Randy here, and I've been a Becker fan for a number of years, thanks to the internet in general, and you folks in particular. Currently, iirc, in order of getting them, I have a 10, two 15s, a 16, 14, 24, 9 (39 actually), a 12, and as of the 20th an 11.
Happened to be at a store on the 19th, and they mentioned Mr. Becker would be there on Friday - Woot! We left and came back the next day just to meet him. And our luck held out because we were able to meet with him, talk a bit about knives, have a few laughs, and in general get to experience what everyone has always said about him. What a warm and kind gentleman, and I can't express how exciting it was to finally be able to meet him. Mr. Becker was kind enough to autograph my BK16 sheath, and even the box for my new BK11. And he joked about how I looked like a lurker. I promised to move away from the dark side and actually sign up. He made us feel very welcome, and totally made our vacation one to remember. Truly an honor to be able to shake his hand! Hopefully the pic below comes through.
