Newbie Sebenza Questions

I'm considering buying a new 2007 Regular Small Sebenza or a
2009 Annual Limited edition Small Sebenza. Though I'm wondering
what I'd be missing since I could get a New 2011 Small Sebenza 21.

I like the blade shape of the Regulars best.

If I bought the 2007 Regular I believe I would miss out on:
- The S35vn Steel (a recent 2011 change.)
- The new washers with little wholes that hold lube better
+ (when did this change start?)
+ (could I upgrade these and CRKs?)

Other than that I don't believe there have been any major changes
other than the shape of the handles/scales.

Would the 2009 come with the upgraded wholly bronze washers?

You can't go wrong with any Chris Reeve knife. Besides you won't just stop at 1.
 
Yeah, you can upgrade to the new washers-you`ll just have to send in the knife to CRK to get them handfitted.

Besides the change in blade steel, I don`t think there have been other changes on the regular/annual models. But then, I am not an expert on them. Maybe there have been subtle changes as well, just as on the Classics/21`s.
 
I think you mean "holey" not "wholly"? ;) The new ones are perforated, but the washers were always wholly phosphor bronze.

The changes you mention are incremental - I would not make the decision on the basis of those points.

The perf'd washers didn't start shipping until part way through 2010, IIRC.
