Newbie seeking first Busse?

I've been frequenting this website but until lately I haven't been in the BUSSE COMBAT area... until most recently.

I have a few custom's and some nice folders that I carry on a daily basis, but would REALLY like to add a nice BUSSE to my working collection.

Can anyone help a newbie out as to how I can find one? Seems like I only see them second-hand, and those command a huge premium over new. Anyone know of any dealers or websites that actually have a stock of these fine blades?

Any tips on getting started for me?

Thanks all,
Eric

Check out the Busse Company Store. They have the last run of blades in stock at the original offering prices. Mr. and Mrs. Skunk will take good care of you.

What size blade/uses are you looking for?

Thanks for the replys. The problem is that there are SO MANY blades/styles to choose from. I'd like something in the 6" + range... something like a combat/camp knife for use.

I looked at what I thought was the company store and couldn't get it to show me anything other than the new 'karambit' style of blade... and that's not what I want.

Preferably what I'd like is the one I see all the time... The Heavy Heart or the 'newer' Steel Heart

Also you might want to check out www.badmojo.tv to see past offerings so that you can look for, or put a request to buy out on the secondary market.

Check out the links that Cal Aggie and I posted.

Sounds like the Hell Razor would work well for you.

Red, there is no permanent Busse line. BusseCombat and Bussecompanystore are the only places to get new INFI. If it isn't there, then you have to get it from the secondary market.
This frustrates some people, but it's worth getting used to. If nothing else, it ensures that your knives don't lose much, if any, value. But value aside, these are very functional knives worth owning and using.

Since you are curently limited (for new infi) to the Hell Razor at the CompanyStore for your intended purpose, you may consider the secondary market for a Natural Outlaw (NO-E)or Fusion Natural Outlaw (FNO), or a Satin Jack Tac (SJT). Expect to pay $250-400+, depending on condition, options, sheath(s), and accessories. These didn't come from the shop with sheaths, so keep in mind that sheaths are an additional cost that the sellers usually need to pass on to you. Also bear with the "No Regrets" mentality that some people take, buying infi one day and trying to sell it for double the next. On this issue I suggest you vote with your wallet and wait for another blade to come up tomorrow or next week. Become intimate with the exchnge board!

We should probably consider making a sticky explaining all this stuff for those who are interested but unfamiliar with the "race to the trough" marketing strategy here.
