I just received a BRKT Bravo 1 and it is not quite as sharp as I would like it. I made a strop with a piece of wood and a leather belt, but I have no idea what to use for stropping compound or where to get it. Any ideas?? Thanks

You can get chromium oxide here: http://www.hawkinsknifemakingsupplies.com/4.shtml

I use leather scraps from a $5 remnents bag from Hobby Lobby. I glue them on to 3" x 11" x 3/4" boards.

You might need some wet/dry sandpaper later. Here's my setup:

The "stocking" BRKT dealers all carry Bark River black and green compounds.

Here is a link to KnivesShipFree's page that has the compound as well as strops. Great stuff, used properly it'll keep all your knives hair popping sharp!
