Hello all--

New to the forum and to knives in general :)

A few months back I purchased an Ontario TAK-1 at a gun show because I thought it would be a very durable, long-lasting, all purpose/all condition knife to have for just about any occasion. However, in my excitement over finding what seemed for me the perfect knife, I didn't consider one very important thing, namely, how to sharpen the serrated portion of the blade.

Does anyone have any advice on this, or can anyone point me toward some good resources for learning how to accomplish this properly? The last thing in the world I want to do is damage such a nice blade because of incompetence. Any advice resources on long-term care would be much appreciated, as well.

FWIW, I've always sharpened my Henckel kitchen knives using a stone w/ decent results, and recently began using a Lansky for the same just because it saves me some time and ensures I maintain good angle....so not a complete noob, but still pretty close.

Thanks in advance, and apologies in advance if this is the incorrect place to post this question.
