Hey guys, been browsing through bladeforums and so much to digest. My current fixed blades are esee's and while they are great, busse's have really caught my eye. I have the izula, rc3, izula 2, esee 5, and junglas. As for what i use them for....to be honest not much. :/
Not sure where to start in the busse world. Any advice? I know this is very vague but im pretty clueless rt now because i really like a lot of the ones ive seen, from small to the gladius.
If you guys were to start over what would be ur first buys?

Thanks

this one is easy. IF you just want INFI and don't have a specific purpose in mind, you have 3 options to get the best deal. Ordering direct from either BusseCombat.com or the Busse Store, or getting in on the Ganza tomorrow

You can always buy on the secondary market, but you may end up paying a bit more than buying direct from busse.

I personally LOVE the TGLB on the bussecombat site (ordered one), and on the ganza, the pork shank is hugely popular. The Sar7 on the Busse store gets a lot of love too

I'd wait for the NMFSH aka Nuclear Meltdown Fusion Steel Heart if I had to start over. Nuclear Meltdown means it's been give a ball bearing/rounding finish so there's no sharp edges on the knife. As for the others, you could spend some time checking out the "Pics only, no chatting" sticky and there may be model descriptions with the knives. That'll give you some idea as what to start searching for :)

Welcome to the Busse Forum!

So you have some small stuff, and you have a nice chopper. Maybe you need a 'medium size' knife? There is a thread about that right now.

Piglet education suggestion: Go read all the stickies.

Thanks guys, is there a thread w all the acronyms? Bc im pretty clueless what they all mean lol

Thanks guys! I will have some homework later.
Who are the better sheath makers? i saw some suggestions on the busse site but wanted your guys' input

Thanks so much for all the info. I like this forum :)

David Brown aka Buy Brown - Kydex
Brian Okuden - Kydex
Mashed Cat - Kydex
Leatherman - Leather
Chuddy Bear - Leather
Rainwalker (?) - Leather

And many more. Those are just off the top of my head. There are MANY great sheath makers and you won't be disappointed with any of them as well as the ones that others will post that I forgot. :)

I would go for a DSSF you should be able to get one cheaper than any other Busse of the same size(hell even the smaller ones) ,they feel great in hand and are fun to use and handle.
The sleeper of the Busse world.

Also AZ Welke makes a nice sheath. I really liked the retention on the one I had.

Buy Brown also mentioned. I have a few from him, and not only does he make a great sheath, he is a great guy too.

Mashed Cat was mentioned. They make a great sheath, and also have great customer service. They offered to modify one for me, without me asking, and I was not the original owner.

MikeyMoto? makes a great looking sheath.

Get an ASH1 or we will laugh at you....OK...well I will....but you get the point......
