Hi. I am brand new here. I am new to knives. I am really a pen addict but knife addiction has so much in common. I am hooked. I own several small lesser knives. I just got a new spyderco chaparral that I love as an edc. I already want more. My next purchase will be something bigger. More of a work horse. Clipping it in my jeans is good but I carry a tom bihn or maxpedition bag with me always. Still folding, not fixed. I have researched too much. I am dizzy. I have it narrowed to 3. Spyderco Pm2, Spyderco military or zt 0620. I am also open to other suggestions. I have big hands. I want to keep it under or at $200. Thanks for your input!

The 0620 would be a good choice if you are into Tantos. The Military is an excellent choice as long as you are careful with the narrow tip and check your local knife laws. I own 2 Paras, one in Cru-wear and the other in S35vn steel. Both handle great and slice like a dream. Welcome to the forums. I would say get a Paramilitary and perhaps a Spyderco Sharpmaker.

I lean toward the PM2 of that list but not terribly sure on how it compares with the 0620 so not a full vote yet but off hand the PM2 would be a top contender for me.

Military all the way!

PM2. It was like the gateways of heaven opened up when I first held one. Still probably the best ergos I have found on a folder (for my hand.) One of the few knives that I compare all new knives to.

Thanks. I appreciate your time. Is the pm2 too slim in a big hand?

So I am finding out that all are good knives and everyone has their favorite It is times like this that I miss brick and mortar stores. Thank you all..

The nice part though is Millies and PM2's can be resold pretty quickly and for most of what you paid.

We all have our preferences and it's generally gained through trial and error but eventually you'll be able to look at a knife and know whether it'll work for you or not.
