First let me say hello as I'm new here, so hello there! Now a question: My 96 year old grampa passed away a few weeks ago. He was a heck of an outdoorsman and passed his love of the outdoors on to me. I got a special item from him, his all purpose knife he used to dress his game from birds to moose and this has been his hunting knife as far back as I can remember. It is a black nylon handled knife appoximately 9" in total leangth. There is Fiskars printed on the blade with nothing stamped on the area of the blade near the handle like county of origin. The blade is worn from years of sharpening and you can tell it was used well. The handle has a brass colored end cap with the crown over F and a brass cap in the guard area, but there is not a guard. It has a leather sheath with appeard to be plastic blade protectors inside. There is a crown over F printed on the sheath also.
I know it would be tough to identify without pics, but from my discription, what would be your guess? I think it is a Fiskars Puuko in type, but I have not found a pic on line that this knife looks like. I have not found one with the brass end caps. Again, this is tough, but thanks for you input.
