A number of years ago I found a rusted piece of iron in a country antique store that looked like a double ax blade.

Recently I decided to clean it up and put a handle on it.

Now that I have most of the rust off it, now I start seeing print.

Can someone help with some details and history?

It is a true Temper. After removing rust, it's also Kelly (world famous). on the top, next to the eye is a stamped 8 with a circle around it.

Toward one blade from the True Temper logo there is a stamped 42. It appears the 4 is a bit larger than the 2.

10 7/8" long
3.25" wide at the eye and
One blade is 4 7/8" wide
One blade is 4.25" wide
4.6 pounds

What do I have and I am assuming it is worth rehabilitation.

Any info offered would be highly appreciated.

Sounds good from what you've shared. It's marked, made by reputable co.

The only question would be it's condition and wear.

Can you post a couple pictures?

I'll try to post a couple of pictures. Some obvious pitting but it appears sound. I'll get the pictures tomorrow. Thank you neighbor.

Blade forum posts can and do show pictures but they have to be hosted by a third party website.

You have to get your pictures from your computer or phone to the third-party host, get them uploaded there, then get the image code link, copy that link, then come to Blade Forums, start a thread or respond to a post, and paste that link there.

I am using Photobucket but there are others. Couldn’t tell you which is the best but some of the hosted pictures from other services contain “hot Asian girl” types of ads when someone clicks on your picture… But then again, maybe that is a perk?

1. Go to photobucket.
2. Make an account. (User name, password, valid email, etc.)
3. Verify account through email.
4. Login to photobucket
5. Make folders for your pictures or simply use “Library”.

At this point you have a photo host.

¿Where are you pictures?
1. On your PC? Go to photobucket and upload to your library by navigating to your pictures and selecting.
2. On your Phone? Download Photobucket app. Set up app, log in, upload pictures.
3. On your Digital Camera? Download your pics to your PC then upload to photobucket.

Depending on your view, you should see a link to the right of your hosted pic.

*after uploading your pictures, copy the url for your picture and past it into a forum response. Photobucket, you simply click the link and it should say something like "link copied".

*use the "go advanced" button on the forum response to preview your post after or during creation. Proofread, submit post.

*Save your “library” in your favorites in your browser and click the “keep me signed in” for quicker access.

Once they are hosted on a third-party website they stay there for your reference.

Hope that helps!

Try this - It's easier than it looks. I, for one, would like to see your axe

I appreciate your time and effort. But this is a deal breaker. I'm just getting to old to learn a new system and getting new programs or, etc.

This is only one of numerous forums I frequent. Which keeps me busy enough, know what I mean?

Thanks for the welcomes and all but I gotta be moving on.

Health and wealth to all.
