I'm an avid knife collector with dozens of custom knives in my collection. Having said that, I always wanted a 110. Finally for Xmax the kids gave me one. They were on sale for $19 and with the $10 rebate,
how can you complain about a $9 knife! I must say that I am totally impressed with this knife. The fit and finish is remarkable.
My questions are; #1 Are the HC blades heat treated with the Paul Bos method? #2 Are the bolsters and liners integral as the appear or are the separate?
I also have to say that I really enjoy this forum and plan on visiting often.
thanks in advance for your comments

...Welcome to the forum APerna...Paul Bos does indeed have his fingers in the HT of the 420HC blades that Buck uses. It's a fine steel. The bolsters and liners are one solid piece of brass ( integral ) just as they appear to be. It is a great knife and I'm sure it won't be your last Buck ...

Hi APA,

As DocD said welcome to the Buck forum!!!! You have some great kids...they love you enough to give you the best...A Buck knife;). I hope you enjoy it and use it often. As you state that you have many custom knives in your collection....you should add a few Buck customs. You can have a Buck made to your spec's.

Thanks for the info. I plan to add a few custom bucks to my collection. I also enjoy this forum and plan on hanging around.

Welcome, APerna! I can't over emphasize the quality and beauty in a Custom 110. As well, when you consider what you get for the money, you will soon realize that a Custom 110 is also one of the best values out there. Check out the Buck picture thread and you will see what I mean.

I can't tell how impressed I am with this knife! I'll be contacting the custom shop shortly. Thanks for all the imput.
