G'day all. I had a slight mishap with my 60T. Broke off the tip of the blade.

Are replacement blades available anymore?

TIA for your help.

Welcome to the forum Pete.
I don't have any replacement blades. Someone else may have some. We will have to wait and see if they come along & post. LT would probably be the most likely to have them, I think. Maybe he will see your post.

It might be easier to re-profile the blade and get a new 6OT.

I think I saw a used 6OT in a pawn shop, with a good blade and beat up bolsters. Now, if I could only remember where it was.........

Thanks Dale, hopefully someone may have one around.

The knife itself may not be a prized collectible, however it was a fathers day gift from my kids and has some sentimental value to me. (Plus the fact that it is the only folding knife that I have ever had that will take the hind leg off a kangaroo in three swipes)

Geographics may come into play, however I have a mate in the US that if I apply a few bribes to he may act as an intermediatory for me.

are you in western australia , say near midland , perth? if you are i know of a shop that has some old timers (the genuine ones , not taylor garbage) i know you only want a replacement blade , they won`t have one , but you would have the opportunity to purchase some genuine old timers

Sorry to barge in I will leave the forum ASAP . However upon request of Codger if you send me your address and if you wish I will send a new 6-OT blade immediately. Please do not use this forum, email me directly lt632ret@frontiernet.net . I do not really read this forum or attend it anymore, ( I do glance at it once in awhile to check that I have faded away like Macarthur ), since upon my given word I will not post in it so thankyou Micheal of advising me of this need which I assume allows me to respond to it, I otherwise would not have known of the need. Best to all LT. PS it is all packed needing only your address. Please note the museum knife law bill which I am involved and some of you may remember is due to go before the assembly again I may at that time be forced to post on this site to ask for support and or advise of what transpires. In order not to offend anyone with my presence, opinions or questions I will at that time ( if I must post ) stick only to that subject. Sorry to seem so adamant on my position however my word is all that means anything to me and once given I cannot and willnot release myself from its obligation to be observed. Once again Best Regards LT PPS Please do not forget, and continue to keep our troops in your hearts.

LT,
Ron, (relodr) and his wife are out here in Oregon on a cross country trip. We got together this morning and discussed knives, and of course the forum came up in the conversation.

Both Ron & I miss your input and wish you would return to the forum.

Take care,
Dale

Yeah, you got to post that lumber rule knife too!

Glenn

LT, you've got to stick around to see the results of one of the broken blades you gave to Wayne (Buzzy). Although it's mighty slow going..

Rich expressed to me his appreciation for all the kind words that everyone left for him.

I don't think this will change his mind, however.

Glenn

Lt,
Please come home to the forum!!!!
It's sure not the same or as great, without you!
Ron

Update.

LT's package arrived today and I couldn't be happier.

As a new member to this forum I am not qualified to enter into discussion on the above posts in this thread, however, now having first hand dealings with this obviously respected member, the word gentleman does not come close to how I would refer to LT.

Without letting too much out of the bag, his terms on the deal can only be described as more than generous (especially considering I am a complete stranger in another Country).

Thanks again to all concerned.

Pete in Oz.
