I have 3 knives I enjoy very much. A m-7 bayonet from the Vietnam war,a schrade schf 36,and my kabar 9" Bowie. They have all seen a lot of use and are the most dependable knives I own,I live in New Mexico and we have a lot of rattlesnakes here and I keep my knives handy at all times,I also do quite a bit of camping and these are my go-to knives,keep 2 in my backpack and one on my belt( kabar Bowie).

Welcome!

I’ve been a folder guy until now, but my stable is full and I’m looking for 2-3 fixed blades.

Enjoy the forum.

a long history stretching back to ww2;
derived from the fighting m3 trench knife
in to the present m7 bayonet...

a notable pig sticker ;-)
its so generic in its form
that its the ageless classic
fit for the "fighting man"
for all seasons :-)
if i got the history right imperial
schrade submitted a sawback
/wirecutting version for a government
evaluation bayonet replacement program.
it didn't make the cut for the new m9 bayonet.
and at some point in the 90's a commercial survival sawback version was made...
and later even upgraded...
