Help! I would love to post a pic to ask you all about a dagger I have owned it for about 20 years. BUT I can't find a photo attachment option...am I blind?

So the dagger is 11" long with sheath. The blade is 1" wide and it's made of heavy golden metal, has a design with a ton of symbolism, cherubs, nude woman, urns, wings etc ...seems french in design but the blade is german. Does anyone know anything about this type of dagger? Or how to learn more about it? Or how the heck to attach a pic so I can show you?

Thank you for your help!

Lilly, take a real close look at the detail of the hilt. If it's finely detailed and you cannot find a part line from casting, you may have a good one. Knives of all qualities came out of Solingen, but the cheap novelty daggers would have had hilts of die cast zinc, often plated. They may look superficially like better knives, but they won't have the sharp detail of skilled handwork. Conversely, a good hilt usually means a decent blade.
