Hello, friends. It is my first thread here, that's why I feel somehow shy.
Featured above is my first fixed blade knife (there are also some other concept knives of mine posted at my website) ;).
Many thanks to Ceya for his support, he's the one that made this happen :)

Hey check out Dialex website if you guys can,, he designs some cool knives..

Very nice!

I love the way the guards, the scales, and the pommel flow into each other. Elegant looking, but I'm it is also a very effective grip.

The blade shape is very cool! It looks to have most of the positive aspects of a good recurve, which is my favorite all-around blade design. Your variant has a distinctive style that blends well with the grip.

I'm glad you've managed to get one of your designs made. Now some smart manufacturer needs to step up and put some of your stuff into production!

Cool knife! I didn't know there are knife nuts in Campina ;) What's the address of your web site?

The knife does look good, the blade looks alot like a blade from
Joel Pirela called the Mini Argon,No flame I just see alot in the blades design.:)

Thank you all for your input.
Flava, you may visit my website by clicking on the button below, the one in the middle with a small house and "www" on it. Or, if you preffer, My website Hope you'll enjoy :)

Nathan, the Mini Argon is really close to my knife, thanks for pointing it out. Note though, I've never seen it before and I don't copy others designs on my behalf. Designing knives is entirely a hobby of mine and I am pretty satisfied with my ideas ;)

Nice job, Dialex and Ceya!
BTW: do you have a site with your knives on it, Ceya?

Shiden-Kaj

Shiden-Kaj,
We're still working on it.It should be ready soon. It will have 10-15 knives on the page, all fixed blade models.

I have designed my first folder last year and will soon get that one made. I will soon have that one hopefully by Feb 2004.

Thanks for asking. Thanks for the comments.

Dialex does makes some cool stuff and I just wanted him to feel what I felt when my first knife was made almost 9 yrs ago.

Agreed! I can't quite decide whether I'm more in love with the Tarantula or the Mako. :D

I really like the Eviction Notice, nice looking knife.
Caya, why don't you and him try your hand at making your own designs
it would make it that much more special, and challenging, taking a knife from a drawing or cad to a profiled blade and them grind it
and finsh the blade,it is very gratifying.;) Seeing a blade come to life is very up lifting, but if one just likes to design that is cool also,I wish I had a set up to do cad drawings and the brains,I use a pencil and paper.I do it the high tech way
:D

Couldn't agree more. There's nothing like taking the steel and shaping it yourself, and see the final result growing out of your hands :) Unfortunately, as far as it concernes me, progress is slow in this direction :(
BTW, Nathan, I gladly gave the schematics to anyone interested, so if you like a particular model, just ask. It's all free of charge, no strings attached. ;) As I said, for me it's a hobby, not a business.

I would love to learn how to do CAD drawings for some of my knives I have floating around in my head,How dose one get started into such a thing.I looked at your knives and I seen the CAD in the back ground on some of them,It would really help out if I learned how to put some sick stuff in my head on paper, with the aid of my computer
is there a place to go were one can learn how to do it or is there programs you have to have
Thanks Nathan:confused:

House ,

I am like you .I use pen and paper. I don't use CAD. I study architecture and construction for years(over 15) so it is easy for me to draw by eye to get the right size(freehand).

I wish i could make my own, my job makes it kind of hard.

So til I get to grinding steel , I will continue to learn from those who make knives and give those who make knives to make mine.

house, i'm taking a cadd class in college. may i suggest going to your local community college and asking about their CADD program? into to CADD would be a good cladd to take, or, you could just take a board drafting class and lean to do it freehand.

hope this helps
