Newcomers first blade.. any thoughts?

This is my first attempt at knife making, and I am looking for some feedback and opinions on the blade style, perhaps and idea or two for the handle? Also I am looking for any bladesmiths in the Seattle, Wa. area who might be willing to give me some pointers.
