Hey All,

So I just picked up a new chris reeve and I am looking for some background on this one. I paid higher than what I would for a sebenza, more than higher--i.e. I may have overpaid. I am trying to find out if this was a custom by Chris Reeve himself, and wanting to see what you think value is on it. I am wondering if I overpaid..... any help would be great!!

JAjajajajaja, its a looker isn't it!! I love that blade finish!!! --> It looks to be an original, but what i am wondering is if i paid too much for it. It was an impulse buy. It came across my lap, and I HAD TO.

Looks like you have a original Sebenza not only that but 1995 was the last year for the org. Then the regulars came out in 1996. Great looking knife!! If you decide to sell I would like first try considering it was born on my 27th birthday. Cool congratulations. Hard to say if you paid to much without knowing what you paid. I would say anything under $550 was a good deal

GRRR, I paid a bit above 550, bugger!!!! I like it though. its a great looking knife!!!

I said if you paid under $550 you got a good deal you probably paid what it,s worth really nice knife

yup, paid above that by 300. oh well, its LNIB, just some handling rubs, but not noticeable, came with a sweet sheath.. hehehe

Don't worry opgenorf that's a really nice one and it's not like anyone can go into a store and get one like that and in such great looking condition. I overpay all the time.

Between the last of the P Sebenza's in 1994(ish) and the introduction of the "New Style" Regulars in 1996, CRK didn't mark the Original Style Sebe's. You have one of those, I think. A great knife for any CRK collection.

Hehehe, Oh well, I had to see one of these in person. I have alot of newer production stuff. perhaps it stays perhaps not, its worth the enjoyment at least!!!

That is one sweet knife. I have one from that same time period and they are perfect. Chris Reeve perfection.

Congrats on a great score!

The only way to handle most old CRK's is to buy them.

You got a nice one there!! I just scored a Large P Seb off of the old fleabay, I can't wait for it. How smooth does yours open and how strong is the lockup? I've heard they are the smoothest opening out of all the sebs but have a weaker detent, but that's just hearsay.

Sweet find! You got yourself a beautiful piece of Sebenza history right there. It looks very mint and unused. I just scored a used 'regular' large sebenza with no box or papers and I can't wait to get my hands on it!

Got your b'day Seb! Congrats:thumbup:

Congrats! Something in the air? I think I have a Large Regular lined up aswell;)

I also have an ATS-34 unmarked large seb as well as a large "P" ATS-34, but I have no paperwork with them. I suppose I should send them to CRK for a birth cert re-issue. They don't have any marks inside the Ti.
Yes, they are the smoothest of all my sebs to date.
Congrats on your score bro and don't worry about what you paid. I paid more than $550 each for mine but not too much more.
